Questions

Working with Blackshore.

What does Blackshore do?

We put the engineering capability of the largest companies within reach of everyone else. In financial markets, that means putting institutional-grade investing tools into more hands. In business ownership, it means giving more people the machinery to own a services firm. And in engineering, it means a senior team within reach of every business.

How much does a retainer cost?

A retainer is a team sized to what you need it to cover, so it is set out in a written proposal after a first conversation. It is one predictable monthly fee, never a lump sum or a change order.

What does a retainer include?

A dedicated engagement lead, a senior in-house delivery team, hosting, monitoring, security and updates, support at the level your operation needs, and a regular review of what changed and what is next.

Can I leave a retainer?

Yes. Retainers run on a short notice period set out in your agreement. We would rather keep clients by being useful than by contract.

Who owns the code?

You do. What we build for you, and the data and accounts behind it, belong to you.

Do I need to use your software to work with you?

No. Our software and our teams each stand on their own. If you already use one of our tools, the team can work inside it with you.

How do I refer a company?

Apply to become a Referral Partner. Referral Partners are a select group of individuals and organizations who introduce companies and share in every retainer payment the client makes, for the life of the client.
